Our customer from the medtech industry manufactures surgical hand tools. These tools require high-performance electrical motors made from very thin NO10 material. SWD AG is the ideal partner for the production of the stator lamination stacks from NO10 offering highest precision, stiffness and quality.
Challenge
It is essential that surgical tools are precise, reliable and able to withstand repeated cycles of sterilisation. The drive technology has evolved from pressurised air to high performance electrical motors. Beside high-performance data, low losses and therefore heat dissipation are curcial. A hot tool is not only uncomfortable for the operator but also impairs their concentration. Materials such as NO10 are the optimal solution for this application.
Approach
SWD AG has longterm experience with small, precise lamination stacks and also with very thin materials such as NO10 for lower losses. Our expertise in punching, stacking and fast bonding is the base for the perfect solution. Each single sheet is rotated with our DKS®-technology and the single sheets are bonded with our BPS®-technology.
