After four years of development and a subsequent construction time of one year, our first large-scale series EPS® system has gone into operation. The EPS® system is based on our tried-and-tested BPS® technology of “high-speed” bonding and enables rapid production of stators and rotors.
The system can produce > 600,000 bonded rotor stacks per year and achieves a cycle time of < 35s per bonded stack. This makes complete synchronization of punching and bonded stacking a reality.
The system is modular and made up of 3 individual modules. This enables flexible adjustment to the required quantities and ramp-up. Tried-and-tested digitalization solutions such as bonding recipes, digital twins, data archiving on SWD servers, data analysis for process improvements, etc. were also implemented.
