Precision shape hole: Great potential for connecting the shaft to the lamination stack
The precision shape hole is a connection technology between the shaft and the lamination stack. Instead of a high level of overlap, we work with a special geometry with nubs on each individual sheet that press against the shaft. This connection technology does not require any expensive heating processes and the production is integrated into the punching and stacking process.
Optimized development processes for the highest joining quality
Precise development with a great deal of expertise coordinates the geometry, materials, grades, surfaces, and punching sequence. Prototypes are used to verify and validate the development process before the geometry is integrated into the punching and stacking tools. The advantage of this connection is the cold joining of the lamination stack and shaft. The process is highly efficient and is monitored 100% via process parameters and windows (pressure forces and displacement).
Joining technology proven millions of times
Since this joining technology only works with lamination stacks, it is still largely unknown. We are in series manufacturing with more than 1.5 million parts produced using this technology without any error messages relating to power transmission or joining.
What our employees have to say:
“We have been using precision shape holes in series for 20 years. A perfect solution!”
