World first: Diameter of the segmented stator measured at 100%

Reducing stator tolerances simplifies production and increases performance. When it comes to segmented stators, the assembly of the segments to form a stator is a decisive criterion. We have now built the first BPS® machine with integrated 100% diameter measurement. The segments produced are assembled in a precise diameter sleeve and the diameter is measured. This allows us to measure the diameter with each segment and to compare any changes immediately with the machine data. The result is even narrower tolerances. We are currently mass-producing a stator with 18 segments and a diameter tolerance of 0.06 mm.
